Twickenham becomes a one day vaccination site

It’s estimated 15,000 jabs could be given at the rugby stadium today

The latest age group to be offered a vaccine are those 30 and over, as well as continuing vaccinations for those who are clinically vulnerable.

The national rugby stadium is being used in an effort to bring down coronavirus cases and stop spread of any new variants.

Anyone elligible will be able to get their jab this Bank Holiday Monday without booking, although you can also book online to reduce queue time.

It’ll be open from 10am until 8pm.

The site is being described as “the biggest vaccination centre in England” – and could lead to mass vaccination of local communities following a surge in Indian Covid variant cases in nearby Hounslow.

They say clients with bookings will be prioritised for vaccination and walk-ins will be managed based on vaccine availability

It’s also encouraging you to bring your NHS number. This makes registration faster if you have it.

You can find your NHS number at:

Some car parking spaces are available at Rosebine Car Park (entry via A316/Chertsey Road). Disabled parking bays and pickup/drop-off points are located at Twickenham Stadium (entry via Rugby Road).

You can book your vaccine today on the event LET’S TACKLE COVID:
